Andreas Hoffbauer is an economist by training, a qualified journalist and an interview coach, with more than 30 years of international experience on both sides: in journalism and inside a corporation.
For more than ten years he was a correspondent for Handelsblatt in Frankfurt, London and Beijing. In China, after over two decades in journalism, he moved to Volkswagen as a group spokesman. Almost ten years in Asia were followed by the headquarters in Wolfsburg, where as editor-in-chief he modernised the group’s publications.
From 2015 he served as group spokesman, covering central board portfolios such as finance, e-mobility, logistics and procurement as well as the Wolfsburg plant. His experience at the side of the executive board, not least during the diesel crisis, makes him a dependable presence in delicate situations.
In Minerva engagements he takes charge of external perception: who speaks, when, with what message, and what is better left unsaid. He prepares executives for interviews, court appearances and conversations with banks, clients and employees.
His international background in Asia and the English-speaking world has taught him what matters across borders. Music and hiking give him the calm required to find the right words even under pressure.
A short conversation shows quickly whether we are the right fit.
